Romania - Project Scut

Niamh was responsible for the establishment of the first community based mental health scheme operating in Romania, in the city of Brasov (Project Scut). The mentoring approach utilised in Romania was based on the principle of graduated phased support, with a clearly established end state in which the Brasov scheme would become self sufficient. When Niamh withdrew from the project in 2006 it was well established and financially viable, in keeping with the agreement in the exit strategy.
